Study: Addiction to diet pills common in people with eating disorders

Many people with eating disorders in the U.S. abuse diet pills, laxatives and other over-the-counter medications, according to the Remuda Ranch Programs for Eating and Anxiety Disorders. People who abuse diet pills can suffer from serious health problems, including high blood pressure, abnormal heart rhythms and kidney damage, a spokesman for the group said. Drug Store News (08/20)
